The network of 19 companies is worth € 218 million. Employment and exports to 60 countries in the world are growing

From architecture to fashion through intelligent games: the Industrial Union network welcomes three new companies that bring prestige to the city’s image. UniCredit Gold Partner of the initiative

Turin, 11 June 2019. Three new members join EBT Exclusive Brands Turin, the network of companies promoted by the Turin Industrial Union for the development and promotion on foreign markets of a selection of brands and products excellence of our territory. The network thus comes to count 19 companies that express Turin excellence. In fact, three leading companies in the Turin area are joining EBT: the Building Group, a company specializing in projects and constructions, the Kristina Ti brand of the stylist Cristina Tardito and Quercetti, historic company of intelligent games.

Paolo Pininfarina, president of the network, expresses his satisfaction: “The network of EBT companies turns 8 and confirms its vitality with the entry of 3 new companies and 5 partners of great prestige”, says Pininfarina, who claims: “Today we can proudly say that the network represents a consolidated example of excellence in the promotion of products and services of our Territory on international markets “. The satisfaction is the same for all the companies in the network, which records increasing numbers for employment, turnover and export volumes all over the world.

The three new EBT companies

Born in Turin in 1983 to design, build, imagine, invent the city and living, industry and the spaces of commerce, civil, private and leisure places, the Building Group is renowned for The Number 6, “The most beautiful house in the world”, a transformation into a contemporary condominium of a gem of the Baroque just a stone’s throw from Piazza San Carlo. In addition to The Number 6, Building offers the city other examples of extraordinary recoveries such as Lagrange12, restoration of a 17th-century building between via Lagrange and via Giolitti, such as Quadrato, the new restoration project for the convent of Sant’Agostino, an ecclesiastical structure dating back to the 16th century in the historic epicenter of Roman Turin and the intervention for the OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni, the new contemporary pole of innovation and contemporary culture in Turin, where the group manages the space of the Snodo taste. At the end of May, the group inaugurated the expansion of Settimo Cielo, which is now Italy’s largest retail park awaiting further expansion. On the residential side, Building is working in the Turin center at Domus Lascaris, transformation of an ancient modernist palace between Via Lacaris and Via Alfieri, one block from Piazza Solferino.

After her debut with underwear and swimwear, Kristina Ti is now a brand that offers a total look collection. To give shape and substance to a brand that gives new life to Italian fashion is Cristina Tardito, who after starting to experiment in the family business, the Thames, has created an original and unique style, as the creator herself explains, according to which “ there is no style, there is no fascination without knowledge, without a mix of cultures and a touch of humor “.

Founded in 1950 and ever since remained in Turin, Quercetti is the symbol of intelligent Italian gaming. Construction, aircraft, toy missiles, magnetic games. The company’s games, now in the hands of the second generation of the Quercetti family, have accompanied the childhood of millions of children around the world. The most iconic game, the famous colorful tacks, have spanned decades, surpassing even the attractiveness of digital competition. One and a half billion pegs produced each year reach 60 countries around the globe. In 2017 they enter the annals of design. The ADI – Industrial Design Association, has included Pixel Art, the adult version of the tacks game, in the prestigious ADI Index publication, nominating it for the Golden Compass.

The news of EBT 2019

In 2019 the EBT network made its debut with a series of innovations: the first was EBT Tour, with YEG Ventana Group – EBT’s silver partner – which developed three tourist packages created according to as many theme categories: Food and Wine, Design & Technology and Lifestyle & Entertainment. The EBT brands thus become powerful levers to promote hospitality in the city and out of town, three packages united by the high quality of the cultural, tourist and experiential offer.

In 2019 EBT also continues its international promotion to convey the value of the companies that constitute it: in September, in fact, the network will fly to Paris for Maison & Objet, the world’s leading lifestyle fair. The EBT exhibition space in France will be structured according to six thematic areas: Food, Jewelery | Aesthetics | Fashion, Design and Architecture, Sartorial Textiles, Technology and Accommodation Facilities. An ideal journey among the Piedmontese excellences enriched by the moment of tasting and the multimedia wall that will make the experience even more complete and engaging.

The six thematic categories on display in Paris will be anticipated by the new Exclusive Brands Turin website www.exclusivebrandstorino.com, the fulcrum of a digital strategy aimed at promoting online the recognizability of the EBT brand and the individual brands of the network of companies that are part of it.

Growth of EBT in numbers

A brand in great growth, as shown by the data relating to the 19 companies involved: the network in fact sees an increase in the number of total employees, from 652 to 783; turnover was also up, which compared to 2018 grew by 37% from 159.5 to 218.1 million euro. In addition, for the Turin network, the volume of business in the 60 countries of the world in which the companies are present is also growing, with an export value that rises by 16%, from 81.7 to 94.9 million euros, bearing witness to the international vocation of Turin entrepreneurship.

The EBT Charity partners

The excellence of EBT, as well as the innate vocation to promote the social and economic fabric of Turin and Piedmont, is finally reflected in the two charity partners of the network: Casa Oz, which since 2005 has taken care of welcoming children and families who encounter the disease by providing support, assistance and thus helping families in difficulty find serenity; and Fondazione Ricerca Molinette Onlus, a non-profit organization that since 2001 has served as a “bridge” between science and medicine, supporting research called “translational”, that is, that particular sector that has as its objective the transfer of laboratory research results to the clinical field, through the development of new drugs, new therapies and new intervention measures in patients.
