The task of expanding the Gruppo Building, the marketing entrusted to Cushman & Wakefield Retail, which manages the park, inaugurated in 2011
Settimo Torinese, 21 July 2017. Settimo Cielo Retail Park, the business park inaugurated in 2011 near Turin, officially enters the second phase of development, which foresees the expansion of the complex with the addition of 26,000 square meters to the existing 43,000 square meters. The Building Group, through Building Engineering and the Boffa studio, Petrone & Partners, is responsible for the design and expansion works that, once completed, will transform Settimo Cielo into one of the largest retail parks in Italy. The marketing of the new area was entrusted by Settimo Sviluppo spa, owner and promoter, to Cushman & Wakefield Retail, which is also responsible for the management of the business park.
The construction site will open in early September and the inauguration of the expansion is scheduled between the end of 2018 and the first months of 2019, when the park will reach a total size of 69,000 square meters and 4,500 parking spaces. Next, the development of a 11,000-square-meter play and recreation area is also announced. The extension will integrate perfectly into the current layout, with medium / large surfaces and smaller cutting shops developed on one level, ample parking areas and pedestrian walkways designed to move the flows throughout the area.
Also in terms of offer and brand, the marketing will be aimed at ensuring the maximum complementarity between the existing commercial area – characterized by the presence of category killers of different sectors with a particular focus on the house – and the extension. In addition to food & grocery, the extension will include a selection of national and international clothing and accessories brands, personal care products, services and a food court with a rich selection of proposals for the different daily frequency bands.
Signs of primary importance have already shown interest in the business park, which provides operators with a base of around 9 million presences per year, excellent visibility of the Turin-Milan (A4) and Turin-Aosta (A5), ease of access from the Turin metropolitan area, and state-of-the-art plant solutions, designed to optimize management costs while minimizing environmental impact. The direct connection with the A4 motorway is also recent.
Inaugurated in 2011, the first phase of Settimo Cielo Retail Park was sold in September 2015 to an institutional investor. The owner and promoter of the expansion is Settimo Sviluppo spa, developer of the first portion, managed from the beginning at Cogest Retail, now Cushman & Wakefield Retail.
