  • In Turin, from 15 October to 5 December, the Building Group is exhibiting six works by Norman sculptor Aurélien Boussin. An exploration of geometry and nature that comes to life in marble.

There is a still energy in the quietness of marble, a force that vibrates between the perfection of geometry and the unpredictability of nature. It is in this tension that the artistic language of Aurélien Boussin takes shape, the French sculptor chosen by the Building Group for the upcoming exhibition at Domus Lascaris in Turin. The exhibition by the Norman artist, on display from 15 October to 5 December 2025, invites visitors to discover a universe of pure and elegant forms through a collection of six works in marble and stone.

Boussin’s abstract sculptures, inspired by the natural world, are born from a balance between rigour and sensitivity, giving life to creations that seem to materialise the flow of life. His poetics take shape from symbolic volumes such as the cube, the sphere and the egg; from these solids, the artist explores human moods and desires, relating them to the perfection of the universe and translating them into works that evoke a profound sense of serenity or unease. One example is the work Toc Vajont, in which the vertical thrust of the marble evokes the memory of the 1963 tragedy, prompting the viewer to reflect powerfully on the fragility and strength of nature.

This language is the result of Boussin’s unique artistic journey, which began with training in the restoration of historical monuments at Notre-Dame de Paris and the Château de Versailles, and then blossomed along the Loire with the discovery of his love for marble, which led him to the heart of the Apuan Alps, between Carrara and Pietrasanta, where he set up his workshop.

The large windows of Domus Lascaris will offer passers-by the opportunity to appreciate the works at all hours of the day, revealing how the sinuous lines of the sculptures resonate with the modernist architecture of the building: in a constant dialogue between interior and exterior, between the artist’s vision and the living space. It is a reflection of the philosophy that drives the Building Group’s cultural commitment.
‘The ability to infuse life and dynamism into an eternal material such as marble is what makes Aurélien Boussin’s work so interesting,’ says Luca Boffa, CEO of the Building Group. ‘His works celebrate the beauty and complexity of nature, a vision that fits perfectly with our idea of creating spaces where architecture and art contribute to well-being.’

The Turin exhibition enriches the artist’s already prestigious international career, whose sculptures have been appreciated in contexts such as Hong Kong, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Forte dei Marmi, France, Switzerland, Norway, China and Romania.
On Thursday 16 October, from 6 p.m., the Domus Lascaris space will be open for a “Meeting with the Artist”, during which Aurélien Boussin will have the opportunity to talk to the public and present his works.
