The American electric go-kart group forms a partnership with the Italian Hollywood Kart chain and opens a new 3700 m2 facility in Beinasco. The new facility will be one of the main attractions of Flash, the retail and entertainment project developed by the Building Group.

On the afternoon of Friday 29 November, the new K1 Speed Torino electric go-kart indoor circuit was inaugurated: the American operator’s seventh venue in Italy, joining the six in Milan, Rome, Udine, Erba, Catania and Marcianise.

The facility will be one of the most important attractions of Flash Beinasco, the innovative entertainment centre owned by the Building Group and managed by Odos Servizi. The new project involves the recovery and transformation of the commercial area on the outskirts of Turin, with the creation of a pole dedicated to retail, experiences and leisure.

The announcement coincides with the 20th anniversary of the opening of K1 Speed’s first location in Carlsbad, California.

‘When Susan and I met Massimiliano and Martine Giurgola of Hollywood Kart, it was logical to join forces, as we share many of the same values and goals,’ says CEO and co-founder David Danglard. ‘We are immensely proud of this partnership and to expand into Italy, such a beautiful country that is world famous for its legendary cars, historic circuits and immensely passionate motorsport fans.’

‘We are similar in so many ways; I think it’s fate that the four of us were brought together,’ says Massimiliano Giurgola, CEO and co-founder of Hollywood Kart. ‘Of course, we can’t help but laugh at the irony: a Southern California company with Italian karts teams up with an Italian company with a Southern California name. It was really meant to be!”The K1 Speed Torino facility will be open during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 1pm to 1am
  • Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
  • Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
