After its debut in Turin, in the shadow of the Mole Antonelliana, Smashers is doubling down and announcing its second opening in Milan, at Corso Buenos Aires 2. Starting on Saturday, 29 November, the gastronomic format dedicated to smash burgers will aim to conquer the palates of all generations of Milanese with its concept of simple yet powerful burgers.

The project stems from the intuition of four young entrepreneurs – Marco Radovic, Davide Axerio, Carmelo Cito and Andrea Vendola – united by the desire to bring the most traditional version of American comfort food to Italy. This journey was made possible thanks to the strategic support and entrepreneurial vision of the Boffa and Oglino families, who believed in the project’s potential from the very beginning.

Smashers reinterprets the burger by pressing the meat on a hot plate, expanding its surface and creating a caramelised crust that makes it crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, in perfect American style. Smashers’ identity combines the imagery of early American fast food with Italian attention to raw ingredients, maintaining a simple menu and affordable prices.

The beef is carefully selected, with a clear preference for the Maremmana breed, prized for its natural balance of fat and flavour. The soft bread is another distinctive feature: a potato bun made to an exclusive recipe, using local flour from an artisan bakery. The menu is deliberately simple, offering four varieties of smash burgers – classic, cheeseburger, fried onion and chicken – accompanied by four original sauces created specifically for the restaurant. A brand new addition to the menu introduced with the Milan opening is soft ice cream for dessert.

The brand identity is also reflected in the design, conceived as an integral part of the experience. The interiors of the new Milanese venue, designed by Boffa Petrone & Partners, translate Smashers’ contemporary language into a space with a bold character, where industrial influences, neon lights and pop references blend together in a “retrofuturistic” atmosphere.

The opening to the public is scheduled for Saturday, 29 November, starting at 7 p.m., with an event featuring DJ sets and street performances by artist Red Longo.
