Smashers opens in Turin: the Italian chain dedicated to Smash Burgers, whose contemporary architectural design was created by Boffa Petrone & Partners. From the Piedmontese capital, in Via Maria Vittoria 37/D, where the first restaurant was inaugurated, the expansion plan has been mapped out: a new opening is planned in Milan by the end of the year, followed in 2026 by Genoa, Florence and Verona. The goal of the four founders – Marco Radovic, Davide Axerio, Carmelo Cito and Andrea Vendola – is to create a “smash” community. The project is also supported by the Boffa and Oglino families, who have been enthusiastically involved since the early stages of development.

Turin thus becomes the first city to host a gastronomic format entirely dedicated to smash burgers. This technique involves not simply cooking the meat, but “smashing” it directly onto a hot griddle. This pressure causes the surface of the burger to expand and triggers the Maillard reaction, caramelising the proteins and sugars in the meat to make it crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside.

The base is a soft potato bun, whose secret recipe is created exclusively for Smashers by an artisan bakery in Pinerolo, using local flours. A refined, high-quality offering, with locally sourced ingredients, starting with Piedmontese Fassona beef, served with four types of original, specially designed sauces.

The smash burger thus acquires a precise identity, a distinctive aesthetic and a quality offering accessible to all. Smashers aims to make the smash burger a coherent and replicable concept, strongly characterised in terms of quality.

The new restaurant has also opened in the creative heart of Turin with an architectural and interior design by Boffa Petrone & Partners, the Turin-based studio known for its design sensibility and numerous iconic projects for the Building Group. The striking architecture combines industrial influences and graphic minimalism with strong references to the brand’s pop and digital imagery, creating a pleasant and fun environment, suitable for an urban, ironic audience that is attentive to new developments and trends in the food sector.

The menu is simple, offering four types of smash burgers: classic, cheeseburger, fried onion and chicken, available as single or double burgers, accompanied by fries, nuggets, milkshakes and soft drinks. Each burger is prepared to order, with selected meat and artisan buns, to ensure crispness and flavour with every bite.
Smashers is a Retrofuture Burger: an experience that looks to the past and points to the future with a pop and iconic spirit, reinterpreting the burger with boldness and style in a contemporary key. Thin but bold. Essential but powerful.
The restaurant will be open every day, serving lunch (12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and dinner (7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), to accompany every moment of the day with taste and quality.
