The design and construction of the expansion entrusted to the Building Group, the marketing of Cushman & Wakefield Retail
Settimo Torinese, 21 June 2018. Settimo Cielo Retail Park, the business park inaugurated in 2011 near Turin, has entered the “highlight” of the second phase of development, which involves the expansion of the well-known Retail Park with the addition of an additional 26,000 square meters to the existing 43,000 square meters. The Building Group, with Building Engineering, the Boffa-Petrone & Partners studio, and Building spa, is responsible for the design and implementation of the expansion which, once completed, will transform Settimo Cielo into one of Italy’s largest Retail Parks. The marketing of the new expansion was entrusted by Settimo Sviluppo spa, owner and promoter of the initiative, to Cushman & Wakefield Retail, which is also responsible for managing the current business park.
The site was started at the beginning of September 2017 and the inauguration of the expansion is expected by the end of the first quarter of 2019 when the park will reach a total size of 69,000 square meters with 4,500 parking spaces. Next, the development of a further area adjacent to the commercial park is confirmed, on which the construction of a play and recreation complex of approximately 11,000 square meters is planned.
In terms of offer and brand, marketing is aimed at ensuring the maximum complementarity between the existing commercial area – characterized by the presence of category killers of different sectors with a particular focus on the home – and expansion. In addition to food & grocery, the extension will include a selection of national and international clothing and accessories brands, personal care products, services and a food court with a rich selection of proposals for the different daily frequency bands.
Signs of primary importance have already confirmed their presence within the expansion and, more generally, the great interest in the Settimo Cielo Retail Park, which ensures operators a base of around 9 million presences per year, excellent visibility of the routes Torino-Milano (A4) and Torino-Aosta (A5), “the direct connection to the A4 motorway is open to the public, easy access from the metropolitan area of Torino, and cutting-edge plant solutions, designed to optimize management costs while minimizing environmental impact.
